International Women's Day 2019 @ NZME

Happy International Women’s Day!

At NZME, we are playing our part to build a gender-balanced world. We are entering an exciting period of history where the world expects balance. We notice its absence and we are celebrating its presence!

This Friday and a lot of our brands are getting involved! See below on what we’re getting up to:

NZME

All our teams across the country are marking the day by getting involved with a #BalanceforBetter pose, as shown above by NZME Central.

Our monthly Senior Leadership Team Update will also be hosted by all females.

VIVA

For our International Women’s Day issue, we’re asking women photographers we respect and admire to contribute a photo that captures the spirit of International Women’s Day in just one image. Plus we talk to art curators and event organisers about the role they play in keeping the discussion around feminism alive and the need to keep pushing boundaries.

TimeOut

For our March 7, issue we have an all-female issue, including the stars of the Milk & Honey (Bic Runga, Tami Nielson and Julia Deans) in an exclusive cover feature and photo shoot. The women came in to talk to Siena Yates about their experiences of being women in the music industry, which was recorded as a video interview and podcast, launching our new roundtable series TimeOut in Conversation.

The 2019 #BalanceforBetter campaign runs all year long. It doesn't end on International Women's Day!
